Terms of Service
Last updated: 20 July 2026
These terms apply when you use Money Flows ("the app"), operated by This Optimistic Life (Justine Bevilacqua), Tasmania, Australia. By creating an account you agree to them. They're written in plain English on purpose.
What Money Flows is (and isn't)
Money Flows is a personal money-tracking tool. It helps you see where your money goes by organising the receipts, statements, and transactions you give it.
It is not financial advice. Nothing in the app, its insights, or its categorisations constitutes financial, tax, accounting, or investment advice. Categories and AI-generated summaries are a starting point, not a professional opinion. For decisions about tax, debt, or investments, talk to a qualified professional who knows your situation.
Your account
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your login secure.
- One account is for one person.
- You're responsible for the data you upload. Only upload financial records you're entitled to use.
Purchases, subscriptions, and refunds
- Prices are shown at checkout and processed securely by Stripe.
- Lifetime access means access to Money Flows for as long as the product is operated, for a one-time payment.
- Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time and remain active until the end of the billing period.
- 7-day money-back guarantee: if Money Flows isn't right for you, email within 7 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full. No interrogation. Monthly plans can also be cancelled at any time from your account, and you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
Pricing changes
Prices for recurring subscriptions may change as Money Flows grows. If you're an existing subscriber, we'll give you at least 30 days' written notice before any new price applies to you. The one-time lifetime price is exactly that: pay once, never be charged again.
Acceptable use
Don't attempt to break, reverse-engineer, resell, or misuse the app, and don't upload unlawful content or someone else's private financial data without their authority. We may suspend accounts that do.
AI processing
The app uses AI to read and categorise what you upload. AI makes mistakes. Review anything important, especially anything you intend to rely on for tax purposes.
Marking a vendor or transaction as tax deductible is a record-keeping label you apply to your own data. It is not a determination that an expense is deductible, and it is not tax advice. Check anything you intend to claim with a registered tax agent.
Availability and liability
We work hard to keep Money Flows available and your data safe, but the app is provided "as is" and we can't promise uninterrupted service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the product.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Tasmania, Australia, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of that jurisdiction. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the product evolves; material changes will be noted here with a new date. Questions: justine@thisoptimisticlife.com. Our privacy practices are described in the Privacy Policy.
