Money Flows

What's new in Money Flows

Everything that's shipped, newest first. Most of it started as a customer email or something that annoyed me using it on my own money. - Justine

  • Indie does the tagging now

Upload a statement and she checks what you've tagged before, then has a go at the rest. Anything she's unsure about waits in Review with her best guess filled in. And "always tag" now matches the whole merchant, not one exact shop. Old rules that never fired? Look for the Shorten prompt.

  • Log an expense by talking

Tap the mic and say it: "$87 at Bunnings, business expenses." It reads the amount back before it saves, then shows you what it saved with an undo. No receipt on you? It flags it quietly so you can add one later.

  • Profit & Loss, per stream

Pick a stream and a period and see it month by month: money in, money out, net. Then where it came from and where it went, by category.

  • Your numbers just got more honest

Credit card repayments and refunds were being counted as income. Now repayments count as transfers, and refunds come off what you spent. Categories also know whether they're for money in or money out. Your Money In will probably drop. Nothing's been deleted.

  • Your financial year, your way

Set when your financial year starts in Settings. The dashboard now has this financial year, last financial year and a custom range. And "Export by stream" on Transactions gives your accountant one tidy spreadsheet.

  • And a few smaller things

Horizon has a calendar view. Recurring pay lands on the day it's due. You can add past income across a date range. Bulk delete is in. Splits can remember themselves. And Ask Indie really searches your history now.
